I will continue working with Midlands Connect and other stakeholders to deliver this vital infrastructure project for the Bolsover constituency and wider East Midlands.
J28 of the M1 is one of the most important logistics locations in the East Midlands. It is almost equidistant between Birmingham and Manchester, the UK’s second and third largest cities. The junction is where the A38 links the M1 to Sutton and Mansfield and to Birmingham via Derby.

Upgradi
Earlier this month I held a Parliamentary debate on the potential merits of improvements to Junction 28 of the M1. I know how important securing funding for these upgrades is to local residents.
Well where do I start … to say the General Election announcement came as a surprise, would be an understatement, but I'm looking forward to the next six weeks, speaking with residents is my favourite part of the job, so I hope to see some of you soon!
