BLAST( Building Lives around Shirebrook Town ) are the most fantastic community organisation and it was an honour to spend some time at the youth club on Carter Lane, meet some amazing children, and hear about all the wonderful work going on to help improve the lives of children and adults across Shirebrook. It's brilliant to see progress on their new space, and hear about the generosity of local people and tradesmen, and support of Derbyshire County Council, in transforming a long under-used building into the most excellent youth zone. I was honoured to meet Macey of Maceys Munch - a great little homebaking business - and hear Lewis's proposals for a Pump Track. There are some really worthwhile plans afoot and I truly cannot wait for my next visit. Massive thanks to Keeley for all her incredible and inspirational work.
