Today I contributed to an Urgent Question called by Pauline Latham regarding the administration of Derby County Football Club.
It is an incredibly upsetting situation for many fans to see their local club in this position. I have been working with my fellow Derbyshire MPs and others in the region to make the case for protecting one of the Football League’s founding clubs.
Yesterday I met with representatives of the English Football League and listened to what they had to say. We discussed the obstacles for the club and what could be done to remove them.
As the situation develops, I will continue to add my voice to the many concerned Derbyshire residents who wish to secure this vital asset to the community.
