Mark Fletcher MP meets with Bolsover District Council's economic development officers to draw plans for the constituency's future
Recently Mark met with economic development officers at Bolsover District Council to discuss a set of wide-ranging plans including: the development of cycling networks, tourism, Pleasley Vales Mills regeneration, the former Whitwell Colliery site, Pinxton Station, and infrastructure projects such as the Treble Bob Roundabout and the Shirebrook Link Road.
Mark considers progress on plans such as these as being absolutely essential to reviving the economic fortunes of the constituency and allowing it to reach its full potential. With better infrastructure and attractions as outlined above, it is hoped that Bolsover would be able to compete more successfully in attracting further investment into the constituency.
Commenting on the meeting Mark said:
“It is great to work with Bolsover District Council to make progress on plans such as these. Getting the ball rolling on schemes such as the Shirebrook Link Road or regenerating the Pleasley Vales Mills amongst other things are key to lifting up the constituency and attracting the investment needed for it to reach its full potential. It’s fantastic to see that such a vision for Bolsover is shared by Bolsover District Council and by working together I am confident we can achieve great things.”
