A number of residents came to the first of Mark’s Village Hall Meetings in Morton on Wednesday to discuss local issues and raise concerns with their MP.
During the summer Parliamentary recess, Mark is hosting a series of village hall meetings throughout the constituency. These meetings will give residents a chance to meet Mark, raise issues they’re concerned about, or just come along to chat.
The first of the village hall meetings was held in Morton and was incredibly successful with a number of residents coming along to discuss a range of issues. There are more village hall meetings coming up with the next being in New Houghton on the 10th of August.
Commenting Mark said:
“I’m really pleased to see a number of residents come along to the first village hall meeting of the summer.
“It’s been great to have the chance to speak to residents and host this kind of event, something which I would have loved to do sooner were it not for the pandemic.
“I’m very thankful to all those that came along to discuss local issues and how I might be able to assist them."
