Last week the Department for Education announced funding for three Bolsover schools to carry out important repair works at the schools.
Stubbin Wood, Model Village Primary, and Heath Primary Schools are all to receive funding for important restoration work at the schools.
The funding has been allocated as part of the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund. The fund was designed to provide schools with the capital they needed to remain in good condition and carry out the restoration works they needed.
The funding forms part of the Government’s commitment to make sure that all children throughout the UK have the facilities they need to meet their full potential.
Commenting on the funding award Mark said:
“I’m very pleased to see funding awarded to Stubbin Wood, Model Village and Heath Primary Schools as part of the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund. I’m determined to make sure that all of our schools have first rate facilities so that young people in the constituency have everything they need to make the most of their education.
“I’ll continue to keep fighting to make sure that all of our schools get their fair share of the funding so that pupils throughout the constituency have a fantastic education in world class facilities.”
