Last Friday Mark met with the Chair of Shirebrook Cricket Club to further discuss Shirebrook Cricket Club’s bid for funding.
Mark visited Shirebrook Cricket Club to discuss their bid for funding from Sports England and the National Lottery to re-vamp the pavilion and changing rooms.
The funding, should the bid be successful, will provide vital money to regenerate the club and continue giving the community in Shirebrook a focal point for years to come.
Commenting Mark said:
“I’m really pleased to see that the bid to secure much needed funding for the Shirebrook Cricket Club is being put together and I really hope that it’s successful. I know how much the club and surrounding area benefits from them being here in the community.
I’m pleased to be able to help the Cricket Club in any way that I possibly can to help with their bid for funding, and I’m hopeful that Sports England and the National Lottery will decide to invest in this brilliant project.
I know how important it is to get these plans into place and make sure that the bid is as good as it possibly can be. They form part of the wider aims we have for getting investment into Shirebrook and regenerating our towns throughout the Bolsover constituency.”
