Mark praised the Government’s update on recruiting new police officers onto Derbyshire’s streets.
Following the Government’s pledge to deliver 20,000 new police officers throughout the country, the latest update shows that Derbyshire is getting its fair share of police officers.
Since the Government started to recruit 20,000 police officers, the latest update shows that Derbyshire has received an additional 95 new police officers. This takes the number of new officers in Derbyshire to 1,992.
Mark commented:
“This is brilliant news and I’m really pleased to see that the new recruitment drive is going well throughout Derbyshire.
When I was elected in 2019 I pledged help get more police onto our streets to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
I know how hard the police have been working, especially during the course of the pandemic and I would like to say thank you for all they have done.
It’s only right that we support them with the staff they need to get the job done and keep our streets safe.”
These new officers will continue to make sure that communities throughout the Bolsover constituency stay safe and remain brilliant places to live, work and raise a family.
