Mark Fletcher has sent his condolences to Her Majesty The Queen in response to the news today of the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Prince Philip passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle at the age of 99 this morning

“I was extremely saddened to learn of the passing of the Duke of Edinburgh. A steadfast constant by the side of the Queen for over 70 years, his dedication and service to this country will never be surpassed, nor forgotten. I was fortunate to meet Prince Phillip on several occasions when I was Student Union President and he was always a warm and very funny man. I send my sincerest condolences to HM The Queen and the Royal Family.”
All political campaigning has been suspended and the UK will observe a period of national mourning for 1 week, concluding after April 17th.
