Mark Fletcher is encouraging more people to get their COVID jab following today’s announcement from the NHS asking those over the age of 70 to get in touch if they haven’t already received their vaccine.
1 in 4 adults in the UK have now received their 1st dose of the vaccine and the NHS continues to make huge progress in getting as many vulnerable people vaccinated as possible.
Mark Fletcher commented:
“It’s vital that we all get our vaccine when we can. I would encourage anyone that’s over the age of 70 to go and get their jab if they haven’t already.
Thanks to the brilliant work of our NHS and local volunteers, we have managed to get 9 out of 10 of those over 70 vaccinated which is a brilliant achievement.
We’re now passing the peak of this wave but its so important that people continue to book in for their vaccine.
I want to thank every single person throughout the Bolsover constituency for playing their part, whether that’s staying at home or getting their 1st dose of the vaccine.”
The Government has set an ambitious goal of getting the 1st 4 priority groups vaccinated by the 15th of February, a target that is likely to be met. This represents a huge effort from local NHS workers and volunteers.
New cases and deaths continue to fall throughout the Bolsover constituency thanks to the continued efforts of everyone staying at home and social distancing.
