On Thursday, the Minister of State for Housing, Christopher Pincher MP, visited Shirebrook to see the progress being made on the First Homes Scheme, six months after the scheme was launched by the then Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Robert Jenrick MP.
I stood on a platform in 2019 to get more affordable housing built throughout the Bolsover constituency so I'm pleased to see the scheme moving forward. It will make a massive difference to those in the constituency looking to get a foot on the housing ladder, including our brilliant key workers who have given so much throughout the course of the pandemic.
