I am delighted that the Creswell Heritage Trust has been awarded £220,000 of continuity support funding by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport which has the potential to transform the work they're doing at the Creswell Crags Heritage Area. This is in addition to £720,000 of funding previously awarded as part of the Culture Recovery Fund.
I met with Paul Baker, Executive Director at the Trust, earlier this month to discuss the long-term future of Creswell Crags. They have some exciting projects planned and I am excited to see the site develop over the coming years. We're incredibly lucky to have the Crags here in the Bolsover Constituency, they're an invaluable part of our local tourism industry. This money will make a huge difference and means that they will be able to continue attracting visitors from all over the UK for many years to come!
