Today, Mark Fletcher, MP for Bolsover, was pleased to visit the newly opened HARIBO store at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet in the East Midlands.
Spanning 1500 sq. ft, the new store launched just in time for Christmas, providing new jobs to local people and new retail choice for shoppers. The McArthurGlen store is the latest in a string of HARIBO store openings across the UK joining others in Pontefract, York, Cheshire, Ashford and Somerset.
Mark met with HARIBO UK Managing Director, Jon Hughes for a tour of the store, and with HARIBO colleagues who talked about their new roles and what they most enjoy about working for the sweet brand.
Commenting on the visit, Mark said:
“In my role as proud MP for Bolsover and PPS at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, I always endeavour to support business growth in my community and across the UK more broadly. That’s why I’m delighted to welcome the latest HARIBO store to my constituency.
“The opening is a boost to jobs in the local area and an investment in the retail centre. It also offers a fun retail experience for the people of Bolsover to enjoy.
“It was a pleasure meeting the new team starting their career journey with HARIBO and learning about how the brand is adapting and innovating to create sweets to be enjoyed by everyone, including a new and exciting sugar-reduced range.
“It’s great to see such a well-loved brand committed to investing in the East Midlands, and I know families across my constituency will enjoy the fun treats and ‘moments of childlike happiness’ which the store has to offer. HARIBO – welcome to Bolsover!”
