Mark has welcomed investment into local A&E departments at the Chesterfield Royal and Mansfield Kings Mill Hospital ahead of tough winter.
The Department for Health and Social Care has pledged funding to support both Chesterfield Royal Hospital and the Kings Mill Hospital in Mansfield through the tough winter months ahead.
£200,000 and £2 million have been pledged to the Royal and Kings Mill hospitals respectively to support their A&E departments. This winter will be particularly difficult following the strain of COVID-19 and the Government is determined to support local hospitals through this tough time.
Commenting Mark said:
"I'm really grateful for the Government pledging extra support and funding to our local hospitals ahead of the winter.
We know how tough the winter months are on our NHS and so this funding will be a huge boost to our local hospitals.
I know that the funding will be a welcome boos to our amazing NHS staff that work in the A&E departments at the Royal and Kinds Mill Hospitals."
