Mark Fletcher has written to Chair of Elmton with Creswell Parish Council, Cllr Duncan McGregor, supporting their plans for a new heritage and wellbeing centre in Creswell.
The new planned centre will bring some much welcome investment into Creswell, as well as benefitting the general wellbeing of residents for years to come, should the plans be successful. The impact of such a centre could be transformative for the village and residents.
The plans for a heritage and wellbeing centre is an important first step to level up the village of Creswell, making sure that it has the services and facilities it needs to be a thriving community for years to come.
Commenting on the proposals, Mark said:
“I’m really pleased that we’re making those all important first steps in getting some investment into Creswell. A heritage and wellbeing centre could absolutely transform the village for residents and is hopefully the first of a number of projects we can get off the ground in Creswell.
“Making sure that the village has the resources to attract the investment it needs is one of my top priorities. Creswell deserves the infrastructure and services to continue being a brilliant place to live, work and raise a family.
“I’d like to thank Cllr McGregor for undertaking the initial work needed on this project to get things going. His vision and leadership for Creswell will be invaluable for the village as well as working on this project.
“I’m determined to support the Parish Council and others in any way that I can in my role as our local MP to get this project up and running if possible.”
