Mark Fletcher today spent time in Holmewood visiting various businesses to see how they were coping with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mark visited two manufacturing businesses this morning who are providing world leading services while buying British and producing their products here in the UK.
Modular Wiring produce a bespoke wiring system that is way beyond what anyone else is doing, with their wiring used in Wembley Stadium, The Shard and many other major projects while making it all here in the Bolsover Constituency.
Blanchford Acoustics use their amazing brainpower to produce components for tractors and agricultural machinery that suppress noise and they have big global ambitions, particularly for future trade with Canada.
Mark said
“It was incredible to spend time meeting these businesses this morning and seeing the phenomenal work they do from right here in Bolsover. People are worried about Covid at the moment but these businesses are back, they have amazing systems in place to keep people safe and they are excited about our economic future outside of the EU. I’d like to pay tribute not only to those businesses but to every single business that’s gone back after Covid and got back to work, they’ve rolled up their slacks and are doing a brilliant job, so thank you.”
Mark will have further meetings this afternoon with more businesses, following the visit of the Conservative Party Chairman this morning who discussed ambitions for levelling up in the East Midlands with Mark.
