Mark Fletcher recently met with the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, to discuss plans to bring more skilled jobs to the Bolsover constituency and to improve educational opportunities for young people.
The Government is determined to focus on green industries and renewable technologies as a core part of the economic recovery from Covid-19, including through the creation of Green Enterprise Zones across the country. The Green Enterprise Zone in the East Midlands will provide skilled jobs, create an education pathway in linked industries for children in the constituency, and help us combat climate change by focusing on the green recovery and encouraging low carbon and renewable energy businesses.
Mark said
“Boris was very supportive of my plan for a Green Enterprise Zone and I look forward further meetings with colleagues in the BEIS Department and Treasury to help push this proposal forwards.”
Mark has been campaigning repeatedly for Bolsover to attract new investment into skilled jobs, especially in emerging industries and green technologies that the Government is so keen on.
