Last Friday Mark held the second meeting of the Bolsover High Street Taskforce to further discuss regenerating the town centre.
After setting up the High Street Taskforce a couple of months ago and chairing the inaugural meeting of the group, Mark hosted the second meeting of members which include organisations such as Old Bolsover Town Council, Bolsover District Council Officers and Councillors, Derbyshire County Council as well as local businesses and charities.
As part of the Taskforce’s job, working groups have been set up to focus on elements of regeneration including, youth services, branding and communications, culture and leisure. The meeting gave members of the working groups chance to feedback information to the wider group for discussion.
Commenting on the meeting Mark said:
“It’s good to get the group meeting again after a few weeks away working on various aspects of the project.
“I’m really keen to start bringing people together to start building the vision for what a regenerated Bolsover town centre might look like and what it might include.
“It’s important to think about how we start to bring together a vision for the town over the course of the next couple of months. I’m pleased that we’re starting to get some ideas together and I look forward to our next meeting.
“As always I’d like to thank everyone that attended this afternoon to give time out of their busy schedules.”
