Last week Mark Fletcher took the opportunity to question the Minister for Transport, Chris Heaton-Harris, over the introduction of a Railway Station at Pinxton once again.
The Maid Marion Train Line already goes through Pinxton, and Mark Fletcher once again called for a passenger station to be added on the line. Allowing passenger services would have a transformative effect on Pinxton and create fantastic east to west connections for residents living in villages along the Robin Hood Line such as Whitwell, Creswell, Langwith-Whaley Thorns, and Shirebrook.
Mark said
“I was delighted to once again make the case for a railways station at Pinxton in Parliament. Restoring lost rail connections to villages such as Pinxton is pivotal to our levelling-up agenda, and I look forward to further conversation with the Secretary of State on this matter.”
