Last week the Government announced a new security partnership with the United States and Australia – Increasing security and creating jobs across the United Kingdom.
The UK, USA and Australia have a long history of cooperation and often share common goals and objectives on the international stage. Last week the Prime Minister joined President Biden and Prime Minister Morrison to announce the new AUKUS defence partnership.
The new partnership will strengthen ties between all three countries, foster deeper integration on defence science and technology and allow Australia to draw on British and US expertise to acquire a new fleet of nuclear submarines.
This new agreement will see the UK working closely with its historic allies, helping to protect the British people from new and emerging threats, as well as creating jobs for people throughout the UK.
