Mark and Stubbin Wood School today welcomed the Minister for Children and Families Vicky Ford for a virtual visit.
Today the Minister for Children and Families Vicky ford had the chance to pay a virtual visit to see the brilliant work that Stubbin Wood School have been doing throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister Ford was impressed by the amazing work that the school has been doing over the last few months, including the schools virtual theatre.
This follows the schools incredibly thorough work to tackle the challenges that have arisen from COVID-19. The school has fully embraced the challenges that the pandemic has caused and used it as an opportunity to see how they can take steps to improve outdoor and remote education.
Mark commented:
"It was great to welcome Minister Ford to come and meet Rachel and the rest of the team at Stubbin Wood School to see the brilliant work they've been doing throughout the pandemic.
SEN schooling is a vital part of my plan to help the Bolsover constituency. I will continue to work hard to make sure the Government listens to what we have to say, and every child gets the start in life they truly deserve.
I'd like to pay tribute to the Rachel and the team for all the hard work they've done over the last few months to continue providing first class SEN provisions to pupils in our area. I know that the past year has not been easy but they have more than risen to the challenge.
I'd also thank Minister Ford for taking the time to come and speak to the team at Stubbin Wood and listen to their concerns and feedback."
Stubbin Wood School have worked incredibly hard to ensure that they have been able to deal with whatever COVID-19 has thrown at them over the course of this year so that they can continue providing brilliant SEN provisions for pupils throughout the area.
