The Government’s new flagship First Homes Scheme was launched on Friday in Shirebrook – promising 30% off new home.
The new scheme will support the brilliant keyworkers throughout the Bolsover constituency allowing them to receive a 30% discount on a new home.
The new scheme means that buyers of new homes could be eligible to save up to £100,000 on a new home. The scheme was launched on Friday, with the first homes in the country to receive the discount in Shirebrook.
The new proposals promise to save new homeowners thousands of pounds when purchasing a new home, meaning that people can start to put down routes in their own community.
Commenting during the visit Mark said:
“I’m delighted to have the Minister for Housing, Communities and Local Government along to come and launch this amazing new scheme.
I stood on a platform in 2019 to get more affordable housing built throughout the Bolsover constituency so I’m really pleased to see this new scheme launched.
It will make a massive difference to those in the constituency looking to get their foot on the housing ladder, including our brilliant key workers who have given us so much throughout the course of the pandemic.”
Secretary of State for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government Robert Jenrick MP commented:
“We want to help more people from across the country and across the Bolsover District to get onto the housing ladder for the first time.
This new scheme that we’re launching here in Bolsover helps us to do that. It means that you can get a 30% discount on one of the really good quality new build homes that are being built.
You can move into that home and pass the discount onto future generations. We’re not just helping one individual family, but we’re helping many more to come in the years to follow.
It also helps those key workers and it feels the right time to do that, coming out of COVID and to be saying a big thank you to people working in the NHS for example, helping them to put down routes in Bolsover.”
