Today the Minister for Levelling Up Delivery - Jacob Young MP - signed the statutory instrument formally creating the new East Midlands Combined County Authority, with an elected Mayor from May.
The East Midlands Mayoral election is very important for our region. The new mayor will get more powers and money for key issues like skills and education, housing (making sure it's in the right places), transport and infrastructure. More powers and more funding to more areas. #LevellingUp
That’s why it's important we get it right and back Ben Bradley for East Midlands Mayor.
He’s already secured £billions for the new Combined Authority and an extra £1.5 billion for transport and infrastructure projects.
