I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening sharing the Freedom Community Project's 10th Anniversary celebrations last night with a rather fab Pie & Pea supper, hosted by Mark North. The amazing work the charity now does to help and empower those in need, across Bolsover and North East Derbyshire, and beyond, pays testament to their humble beginnings and absolute belief in the project.
If you do have opportunity this weekend, pop in to Bolsover Methodist Church on Hilltop, where they are holding an exhibition about the work they do, with an open celebration from 10.30 on Sunday.
It was a pleasure to spend the evening with Mick Whitehouse and Chris Peck of Bolsover Drama Group. I am looking forward to visiting the group, and enjoying their productions, in the future.
