I was honoured to be invited to Castle View Cricket Club's family fun day earlier today. You couldn't ask for a more idyllic setting for a Cricket pitch, surrounded by trees with the beautiful Bolsover Castle as it's backdrop. It is fabulous that the ground is being brought back into use for it's original purpose, and the club have worked extremely hard to now be in a position where they will be joining the league next season. Huge thanks are due to Bolsover District Council, particularly Sports and Leisure officers Matt Connolly and Wayne Hatton, for supporting the club and enabling them to begin using the cricket pitch.
