These are some of my key priorities across Bolsover since I was elected in 2019.

Upgrade our Buses, Railways and Roads
Working to deliver major infrastructure projects such as improvements to junctions 28 and 29 of the M1, as well as extending the Robin Hood Line and reopening the Maid Marian Line with a station for Pinxton. Also, by working with Derbyshire County Council to ensure the Bolsover Constituency receives its fair share of the £47million provided to Derbyshire to improve local bus services.
Improve Education and Restore Post-16
Working with our local schools to ensure every child in our area can reach their full potential. That means providing modern, fit-for-purpose facilities such as the £8.5 million for upgrades to Bramley Vale Primary School. And campaigning to restore post-16 education to Bolsover.
Supporting our NHS
Ensuring every resident is well served by our brilliant NHS, whether it be their local GP practice, dentist, or the amazing hospitals nearby, and ensuring mental health issues are given the attention they deserve. That’s why we’ve secured over £40 million for emergency care centres at Chesterfield Royal and Bassetlaw Hospital. As well as two new community diagnostic centres at Kings Mill Hospital and in Walton, Chesterfield.
Tackling Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour
Delivering more police officers on our streets to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. Since 2019, I have been campaigning for more 'bobbies on the beat'. We have already seen an extra 346 officers recruited in Derbyshire. I'll continue to work with our police so we can all feel safe in our own homes.
Backing Sustainable Development
Supporting the building of more affordable homes. Whilst funding school places, medical centres, and road improvements to ensure our communities benefit from any new housing developments. Far too often we have seen residents concerns ignored. I want a planning system that works for you.
More Skilled and High Paid Jobs
Delivering skilled, high-paid jobs to our area. And ensuring we have the skilled workforce to face the economic challenges of the 21st century, by having a long-term economic plan for growth in our area. Rather than being over-reliant on warehouses and logistics near the M1.
