I know the state of some of our roads across Bolsover aren't good enough, but I'm working hard to get them back into shape. I'm reporting hundreds of potholes a week, making resurfacing requests for our worst roads, pushing Minister for more funding in Westminster, and I am in constant dialogue with Cllr Charlotte Cupit, Cabinet Member for Highways at Derbyshire County Council.
The County Council are determined to fix things and have boosted their resources to carry out more repairs. They have up to 25 reactive teams who have been filling nearly 2,500 potholes a week since the start of the year - with many teams out seven days a week.
I've already helped secure £7+ million of additional funding for potholes from the Government and because I helped get HS2 cancelled the Government is investing more money in our local road network with a further £176 million over ten-years allocated from HS2 savings. I am pushing for this money to be delivered across our constituency as quickly as possible.
The new East Midlands Mayor will also have a new £1.5 billion budget to help fix our roads and upgrade local infrastructure. That's why I'm backing Ben Bradley as he has years of experience delivering for our region and we can work closely together to deliver more investment into our roads.
I'll continue to report potholes on behalf of local residents or when I'm out and about myself, but I can't see every single pothole. That's why I'm asking for your help!
Let me know which roads in your area have potholes and I'll work with the County Council to get them fixed.

This week, I have written to Cllr Athwal, Cabinet Member for Highways at Derbyshire County Council, to request that a number of roads across the constituency be included in the capital works programme.
After a number of emails regarding lengthy maintenance works and the condition of the roads on the Model Walk Estate in Creswell, I contacted Gleeson Homes who have provided the following update:
