Creswell Crags is a unique geological formation located in the north of our constituency. The cliffs in the deep ravine formed hundreds of thousands of years contain evidence of the prehistoric humans that once inhabited them.
Creswell Crags Museum & Prehistoric Gorge is maintained by a small independent charity and which has managed the 26 acre site for the last 30 years. In that time they have worked hard to preserve the site, educate on its history and heritage and even let you take your very own photo with a woolly mammoth.
